Welcome to the Ultimate Fantasy Football League! The UFFL is a 16-team keeper league where owners will keep the majority of their players at the end of each season. Heated division rivalries, trade negotiations, and roster moves that affect your team’s performance, are only a few of the dynamics of the NFL that you’ll experience in the UFFL. From the draft to the Super Bowl, you will be responsible for the rise or demise of an UFFL franchise!
If you are interested in becoming a franchise owner in the Ultimate Fantasy Football League, please read over the rules and fill out the application at the bottom of the page. You will be contacted via email upon your acceptance into the league. Thank you for your interest in the UFFL.
League Structure
The UFFL consists of two, eight-team conferences. Each conference has two, four-team divisions. Division teams play twice while conference teams play once. The remaining three games will be filled with non-conference teams. The divisional alignments will never change ensuring the development of rivalries in the coming seasons.
The Draft
The UFFL draft will be conducted online at a draft website which I will provide a period of 1-3 months. You will receive a username and password with your franchise to login to the draft board, make your selections, and track the progress of the draft. Check out the screenshots below. The time allotted for each pick is 16 hours. Should you not be available to make your selection when your team is on the clock due to vacation or any other circumstance, you may request the timer be turned off until your return. In the event you miss two draft picks over the course of the draft, your ownership in the league may be revoked.
League Website
Once the draft is complete, the league website will be located at Fanball’s (http://www.fanball.com) fantasy football site. Once your ownership into the league has been accepted, the login information will sent to you via email.
Team Identities
Each franchise will have its own identity complete with team colors, logo, and uniform. All team names must be approved by the league commissioners. Guidelines for team names are:
1. Names must be one word only.
2. Names must be realistic. This is a serious league for serious fantasy footballers so Big Al’s Nose-pickers or something to that effect will be rejected.
Check out the uniform and helmet of the Rebels, a franchise in the American Fantasy Football League.

Should this system not break the tie, the backup kickers will decide which team will advance. In the event a tie remains after the first two tiebreakers have been exhausted, the tally of all non-starters will determine the winner.
Playoffs
Conference playoffs begin in the 14th week of the season followed by the NFC and AFC championship games in week 15. The Super Bowl will take place in week 16 featuring the AFC and NFC champions.

Free Agents (Regular Season)
Free agent requests must be submitted by Noon each Thursday on fanball.com. Fanball’s claiming system will automatically distribute claims by the reverse order of the league standings. Dropped players will go on the waiver wire for 24 hours (Noon Friday). Waiver wire claims will also be distributed automatically by the reverse order of the league standings. Free agent and waiver wire claims are the only methods to acquire players during the regular season.
Free Agents (Post Season)
Only those teams who are still alive in the post season are eligible to make free agent acquisitions. Players acquired during the post-season are not eligible as keepers.
Injured Reserve
You may place a player on the UFFL injured reserve list only if he has been placed on the official NFL injured reserve list. Once a player has been placed on injured reserve, you may claim a free agent to take his place on your active roster. When the player has been taken off of the NFL's injured reserve list you must drop a player in order to maintain the active limit of 18 players. You can place up to three players on the inured reserve list provided they meet the eligibility requirements. You cannot claim a free agent that is already listed on the NFL’s injured reserve list.
Dynasty Players
On April 1st each year following the inaugural season, you will protect a total of eight players. You may also protect an additional rookie from the previous season as a rookie franchise player provided you have one on your roster. You must include one and only one defensive team and kicker in the eight players you protect.
Trades
The trading period begins immediately following the UFFL Super Bowl and concludes on the first Sunday in November at Noon EST. Trades may include future draft picks. “Team-stacking” will not be tolerated! Suspicious trades will face a league vote.

League Schedule
The NFL’s strength of schedule system will be introduced into the UFFL every year following the inaugural season. Teams that finish in the upper echelon will assume more difficult schedules based on the standings from the previous year. This will most assuredly introduce the element of parity that exists in today’s NFL. The scheduling matrix below will automatically generate a schedule for the upcoming season according to where teams finish in their respective divisions at the end of the regular season. This will ensure that the UFFL schedule cannot be fudged.
